Today, we're announcing the preview release of Posterous for Events, a better way for everyone at an event like SXSW, a party or a wedding to connect and share with other attendees.   Using location awareness, anyone attending an event with the Posterous iPhone app installed can now see and post to your Posterous Event. 

Here's how it works:

Launch the Posterous iPhone app and create an event.  Give it a name and an address.

Using location data, anyone attending your event with the Posterous iPhone app installed can now see and post to your event.   Events that they've posted to previously will always stay on the top of their event list.

Pull up your event site and view a beautiful slideshow of all the photos shared at your event with a few clicks.

We're calling this a preview version because it's only available on the iPhone and it's missing several features such as event notifications, the ability to create a private event and other event parameters.  We'll keep polishing it, but give Posterous for Events a try and let us know what you think.
