It appears that the Domain name choosen needs to match the Posterous user name for this to work?

Nope, all you have to do is go to Manage » Edit Site Settings and then enter your domain name that you've set up. It will verify your settings and then take effect immediately on the posterous end.

@mequonite You need to add your custom domain to your posterous site settings. Click "Manage" then "Edit settings" next to the site you want to use. Enter the domain there.

Hi,
I v got a domain name denisdenisenko.com, I v added it as a custom domain for my dionsisio.posterous.com. Now, I am not entirely sure what s going on. I thought now when people type denisdenisenko.com they will see my dionissio.posterous.com website? Or I am wrong? Or why then would we need a custom domian?
thnx

@dionissio it works perfectly in your own spammy kind of way. But that is what makes posterous so cool. It is easy and I wish they would get report and reply functions.

it does not work for me though. Will check on another computer.
Not porn, was playing with the feature and putting everyting i see online into blo : )

also,

how do I link autopost and one of my blogs, i.e. healthndiet.com (which is wordpress hosted with hostgator). First of all, it is possible? I mean for my posts on that blog to go from emailing posterous. If yes, how do i do so? I tried FAQ, and playng around yself, I even went on your blog. However, it says there http://posterous.com/autopost/editexternal?service_type=MetaWeblog (I am traying to add A SERVICE --> and then I m choosing OTHER BLOG and I put info like: healthndiet.com, my login to wordprerss, and my pass to wordpress, but thats what it gives

Oops. We ran into 1 problem!

Try to fix these issues and try again.

* We were not able to authenticate this account.

What do i do? where is the problem? I triple checked my login details, Or it is a poblem with "If your blog supports these two technologies, we can autopost to it today. If you are using Wordpress, make sure you have XML-RPC enabled. If you are using Drupal, make sure that you have enabled the "Blog" and "Blog API" modules in your installation.", if so, how do I change those?

Thnaks for support, I appreciate it!

Hi guys
Please email help@posterous.com for tech support, since blog comments aren't really the place to hash this out. Thanks so much!
