Robert Scoble swung by our offices in North Beach in San Francisco and we sat down to talk about Posterous, design, and the future of web publishing.

I first read "stopped by" as Robert being cornered by Gary and Sachin. Nice to know he came in on his own free will :-)

Great to hear that a new iPhone app has been submitted.
Video sounds nice...but, I would love it to do simple text posts, too!

Yes! It sure beats trying to decide whether to post on Blogger or Facebook or Twitter, deciding to do all three, log into Facebook, make a post, log into Twitter, make an update, then email something or log into Blogger. Also, the fact that you can include audio and video in posts as well as post via email is a huge plus. Before Posterous, I could never find a service that made audio posting and listening easy or inexpensive for that matter. And now I know how to pronounce "Posterous" too. Thanks, Posterous just rocks! I use it all the time.

You guys just plain rock. Your platform makes it easy for my team of 5 writer/photographers to cover our beats and post to our magazine's blog. We don't have to worry whether someone will see
it on YouTube or Flickr or our facebook page or catch a tweet. We just post and it gets there with no fuss. It also saves time-- I don't have to explain how to post to our blog because even a 7 year old can write an email these days!
Can't wait to see some new features!

I love posterous, and your simple, but visual approach, suits my temperament down to the ground. How cool is that, communication on the go that suits your temperament? Wow.

since we're talking-- add a connection to/from Ping.fm, and snip.it / bit.ly / your own link shorting support...
My big one-- smart autopost-- i.e. if im posting something already in my facebook stream, then it won't get reposted there-- it'll go everywhere else though.  I could use this for pictures in my facebook I'd like shown on my Posterous and other Blog along with saving it to my Flickr stream.

I've got tons of ideas I'll post in the suggestions forum later...  Again, keep up the good work!!!

I think Posterous would be the ultimate blogging platform if they give us the ability to use some of these "mashables" in an easy manner (like they already do with being able to stick a link to a YouTube video in an email, instead of having to copy the <embed> tag then edit HTML on the Posterous Manage site.  So maybe they'd let us choose between the in-house system, Disqus, Sacchin, Vincent, Gerry and crew even manage to respond to my emails (all 2 of them) within 2-3 hours...  Amazing!

(BTW, thanx for the Linked In autopost present today!
