Posterous Now Supports Posting to Facebook Pages!

We're happy to unveil our newest feature -- Posterous for Facebook Pages. Now it's super easy to update your page's wall using Posterous -- just email us, and we'll automatically post a feed item to keep your fans updated! Engage your fans even more by allowing them to read your Posterous blog directly from Facebook just by adding the Posterous tab to your page.

There are a few differences between autopost to normal Facebook profiles and pages. Due to the limitations of the Facebook platform, we're unable to post to your page's photo and video albums. Hopefully Facebook will support this in the near future!

Set up is easy. Start by adding Facebook as an autopost site. Then edit the settings for your Facebook autopost site. If you have any pages, you will have the option to post to them. Any questions? Just email us.

Guys you are amazing! keep evolving Posteruos!

Interesting.

So I have two accounts with you guys (two separate logins). It looks like this doesn't know the difference between the two, meaning I can't connect both accounts to Facebook - with one account updating my Facebook profile and the other account updating my company page.

Oh yeah! it's very cool.... well integrated.

@Tami
yes, i have that same issue....
how do i combine my accounts, after i have already made them separate.

I apologize to the posterous crew, cause they do give us the option to "create new site" within our main account that we can later assign additional email addresses to.

apologies and help, please.

Anybody know if I can autopost to two different Facebook accounts with one posterous account?

Great feature, as usual ! Now how can I re-post to facebook or tweeter from a post in posterous, which may not be mine? Could you add a Sharethis icon to the pages? I miss this feature a lot.

Matthias, I believe this is possible... at least on my posterous blogs, I inadvertently added a Facebook account twice. Try adding a new one and see what happens. I just tried and it seems to allow addition of another Facebook connection.

What I wish for (and I am sure it will come soon) is to tie my different Posterous blogs to different Facebook accounts.

Nice, going to set this up

Is there a way to choose if a post to posterous will, eg, end up on a FB page and *not* on the personal profile, or viceversa? I can't quite put the finger on this from teh documentation, but that would be mighty useful as well...

I see no way to autopost to two facebook profiles. Meaning one autopost to a FB wall of the first profile and the second autopost to a page of an other FB profil.

very cool feature but I'm confused on how this works when I have two posterous blogs that are unrelated. I really want to use all the cool outpost features but only on one site. There should be a simple way to set up autopost on a per site basis. I know there are some tricks but it's not simple and that's the problem.
Solution: autopost setting by domain not by profile.

I implemented the integration and found that it posted fine from an email going to my Facebook profile but only to one of my pages - Vincent confirmed that it only posts to one page at the moment so decide which Facebook page you want it to post to if your blogging and connecting to Posterous from the road.

I have yet to try sending more than 1 photo so looking forward to seeing how an album of photos get created.

Thanks Posterous and Vincent - this one is for you http://blip.fm/profile/KrishnaDe/blip/16429087 :)

BTW Vincent your link to Facebook at the bottom of your profile goes to Facebook.com not your profile.

I am having trouble with this integration. When I add facebook to the services on the autopost page, it takes me to a page with this message:
"Posterous works great with Facebook. Autopost can update your status, feed, Facebook Photos, and Facebook Videos. In addition, you can add a Posterous tab showing your blog directly to your profile.
You haven't connected your account to Posterous yet. Please login. Please note that you must have third-party cookies enabled to use this feature."

It does not show me the login button though. I have tried on multiple computers on chrome, IE and firefox. I see a js error on the page and this is all I could find about it: http://forum.developers.facebook.com/viewtopic.php?id=36071

@Active Ideas -- Do you have third party cookies and flash enabled on your browser? That usually fixes the problem. Any other problems, don't hesitate to mail us at help@posterous.com

Did anyone figure out how to implement this so it feeds to the wall on a facebook page AND NOT to my personal profile wall too? I think is what Serge K. Keller, FCD --was asking on july 8th.

I'm having the same issue as @Active Ideas. I tried in Safari and Firefox on Mac, and Firefox on Windows and I can't get it to work right. I have third party cookies enabled (please try to make it work without this - can I turn them off again after getting hooked up?)

I just got booted from my Profile on FB TODAY because of having too many "friends." The language they use! It sounds so personal. So I had to crawl over to my celebrity Page, which I have never used because it is a pain in the butt. You can't "share" on it easily. Why not? And then about ten minutes later, I found you. Wow. I'm going to go cross my fingers now, and take a look and see if it all came true. One post to everyone. You just saved about a hundred years off my life.

Matthias Förster asks about posting to more than one "Fan Page". Many of us manage several different Fan Pages, like bit.ly, Seesmic and Tweet Deck, it would be a boon to able to target a specific Fan Page under our control we would like updated.

I also want to know how to post just to a facebook page wall and not to my personal wall.

People can't comment on the Facebook posts made by Posterous auto-post. Anyone know why?
Oct 28, 2009
It looks like the instructions above are a little outdated.. Use the "Facebook Page" autopost option right next to the Facebook option..
