Posterous makes it dead simple to register a domain for your personal site

One of the easiest ways to establish your own personalized identity is to have your own web address. In the past, it was really annoying --- you had to go to a registrar, buy the domain, edit the DNS records, add an A-record, yaddah yaddah yaddah. Simple stuff for the nerd patrol maybe but just plain annoying for everybody else. 

With our new domain purchasing feature, let us take care of the geeky details --- all you have to do is choose your desired address and we'll register your site and link it to your Posterous in just a few steps. After you've purchased your own domain, we also make it super easy to set up your own personalized email boxes, calendars, and wikis using Google Apps.

Notice (3/30): Our domain registrar was having a bit of a hiccup in the afternoon and evening and a few purchases were rejected. The credit cards were NOT charged. Everything should be up and running now.
