Posterous has acquired Slinkset

We're psyched to announce that we've closed an acquisition of slinkset.com, the easiest way to create your own social news site like Digg or Reddit. Slinkset will remain online, and we'll be working on some crazy awesome stuff to bring the power of slinkset's technology and community to your Posterous experience.

We'd also like to introduce the newest member of the Posterous team, Slinkset founder Brett Gibson. Go say hey, subscribe to his posterous, and stay tuned for more epic Posterous functionality created faster than ever.

Congrats! (Make sure you put out themes before working on any social features, haha!)

@Tami Baribeau
I believe themes are no need in posterous, it's sexy the way it is!
the "simple dead blogging" idea could die with themes and things like that.
