PicPosterous 1.1 iPhone app is out. Your iPhone photo library, in sync with Posterous and everywhere

We're very excited to announce the first major update to PicPosterous, our dead simple photo and video uploading app for the iPhone. New features include:

• Add photos and video to any album in the app
• Delete a single photo from an album, and it's deleted from Posterous as well
• Autopost completed albums to Facebook, Flickr, and everywhere else
• Email a link to your Posterous photo album to your friends from within the app

PicPosterous should be your new iPhone photo library. Add and delete photos from albums as you go, and they will always be in sync with your Posterous site. Getting your photos online has never been easier.

Great news, Sachin. I guess multi-photo select capability is still unavailable to 3rd party developers? That is my biggest roadblock right now, unfortunately.

iPhone 3.1 adds some great new functionality around the built in camera. You can shoot photos faster and select multiple at once. So expect to see an update around that soon. For now, we gotta keep our 3.0 users happy :).

Also, I usually take photos with the camera within PicPosterous and let them upload live when i take them, as opposed to selecting  multiple from the library. but that's just me :)

Sachin, agreed on all fronts. Especially regarding live photoblogging. PicPosterous works perfectly in that scenario. And these new features are quite valuable as well. I look forward to the multi-select post iPhone OS 3.1, at which time PicPosterous will become better than perfect!

Added two photos to an album, posted via PicPosterous, looks great on my Posterous blog but the autopost to Flickr didn't work... only one of the two photos showed, and it's upside down..

I have the same issue as Sarah. When I add a second photo to an album it doesn't auto post to Flickr, Facebook, word press, blogger, twitter.

If you want to autopost a completed album with all the photos, tap the disclosure arrow on the album (blue arrow), and then tap autopost. You'll see a list of all your autopost sites, and you can push the entire album to any of them. thanks

Congrats! I set up another posterous account just for PicPosterous , but I'm not sure how to keep it from posting everywhere that my other posterous does. Is there a way I can independently choose how it will autopost or are they connected by the same email account?

This is great! When is the app going to be available for BlackBerry (Storm)? Check out my Posterous blog at: www.livinginmexico.posterous.com. Thanks!

Minor quibble: it seems like PicPosterous strips out the EXIF data from the photos it uploads & passes along to Flickr.

If I upload the "old" way by emailing the photo(s) as an attachment to post@posterous.com, then the EXIF data is preserved.

It would be nice if this information were kept around.

It just gets better! Thanks! ... I'd love to be able to decide where to autopost to. But for now I just select not to autopost (or even make private) and then go back into the album in the app and set where it should autopost to.

I use Posterous as my one and only lifestream/blog now (everything old imported) and 90% of content is now produced directly from the iPhone 3GS on the go, so any development to PicPosterous is fantastic.

I've written about my Posterous experience on a single tag ... http://richard.mackney.com/tag/posterous

This is great. Been using it for a few days. Would love the ability to choose which places to autopost too and also landscape mode when composing a post.
