New: post to Posterous via SMS!

You can now post to your Posterous via SMS on your mobile phone when you are on the go! Just send a message to 41411 with the word 'posterous' followed by your message. It will be on your site instantly.

This only works in the United States for now, but we're actively looking for SMS gateways we can use internationally.

If you're already a posterous user, register your mobile phone number with us now.

you guys should def embed something a little more close to twitter within the posts. i don't like using this 41411 outside party. the rates seem bizarre too [or just hard to comprehend].

Hi Ryan. We are hoping to have our own SMS short code eventually, but they cost us a lot of money and we can't afford that right now. The system we are using now through 41411 is completely free to use (asides from normal SMS costs). Thanks!

Not currently. SMS posts show up in the title of the post only. I guess showing the post in the body would make sense for large messages. We'll work on a good way to handle that. Thanks!

Wow, thanks for the fast reply! Both of you! To answer Garry's question, if there was a way to differentiate POST title: and body: or even generate an automatic title/subject. The title is less important to me than the content.
