Added support for more video sites in Posterous

Can't get enough online video? Send your favorite ones to posterous and we'll publish them on your site. No need to deal with embed code, we'll do it for you! Just send us a url to a video and we'll automatically turn it into a video someone can play right in the post.

We now support Hulu, Brightcove, Viddler, Fliggo, Ted, Dailymotion and Mixwit

And we have always supported Youtube, Google Video, Vimeo, Omnisio, and JustinTV.

What about auto-embedding a .3gp attach (mobile video clip!) and make it as nice as the .jpg gallery function?

Video sites all seem to do things in non-standard ways, so we have to add them one-by-one, but we've done enough now that we've figured out the ways they do things so we can add them really quite fast.

I just added support for videos from blip.tv and revver.com so you just email us a link and we'll embed it for you. Please note that not all videos from blip.tv can be embedded, but if we are able to do it we will.

I've had a number of connection errors with YouTube videos in the last few days (not playing on posterous). Is this a known problem?
